Bio:
Dr. Hugo Théôret is a faculty member of the département de psychologie at l'Université de Montréal. His research program focuses on motor cortex neurophysiology. He studies the effects of traumatic brain injury on the integrity of inhibitory and excitatory intracortical circuits. He also aims to better understand the motor mechanisms associated with the observation of movements performed by others. The techniques used in his laboratory include transcranial magnetic stimulation, electroencephalography and magnetic resonance imaging.
