This year, we will have full access to the Canadian census 2021. It is time to brush up on your skills to access the data with R! In this workshop you will learn how to efficiently find and extract census data and its geographical boundaries in R not just for the Canadian census, but also for the US and EU censuses.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
聽聽聽聽聽 路 find and extract data efficiently from the Canadian census
聽聽聽聽聽 路 find and extract data efficiently from the US census
聽聽聽聽聽 路 find and extract data efficiently from the Eurostat census
聽聽聽聽聽 路 extract geographic boundary files, combine them with census data and display them in a map
Pre-requisites: basic understanding of R, e.g. through the CDSI workshop "Introduction to data science with R".

Location: classroom BH511 (,听5th floor, inside the Geographic Information Center).
