Amanda Winegardner
Bio: Amanda is a Senior Science Advisor with the Environment and Biodiversity Science Branch at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), where she works on files related to freshwater fish habitat and contaminants in aquatic systems. She completed her PhD in biology at 㽶Ƶ and has a BSc and MSc from the University of Guelph. She has worked for the Government of Canada since 2016, starting first in Iqaluit, Nunavut and is now based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Experience in developing risk assessment frameworks and climate resilience strategies, implementing institutional and governance reforms and building partnerships for marketing sustainability services across developing and developed countries. Managed relationships with government, banks, green funds, universities, private sector, NGOs, networks, multilateral organizations, and think tanks.

Simon Naylor: Vice President, Viridis
Bio: Simon has more than twenty years’ experience in recycling residual waste from municipalities, agribusiness and pulp and paper industries. In 2009, he founded Viridis Environnement, which quickly became the leader of it’s field with over $ 15 million in sales and around 50 employees, Viridis now recycles 600,000 tons of organic waste per year. Highly involved in his community, Simon sits on several boards of Directors, give many conferences on waste recycling and collaborate with Quebec Government on several policies and regulation in environment. Steven Powers: B.S Chemistry-Boston College, General Manager, Triumvirate Environmental (Canada), Inc.
Bio: Steven Powers is the General Manager of Triumvirate Environmental (Canada) Inc. Steve has over 30 years of technical hazardous waste and environmental management experience. Of that, 25 years has been involved with the management of hazardous waste transfer, storage and disposal facilities. Steve has been a member of Triumvirate since 2008. Previous to being a member of the Triumvirate team, Steve was VP of Operations for Jones Environmental in MA and Operations Manager for Laidlaw Environmental Services/ Safety-Kleen in North Andover, MA
