is the Census Manager (Director General) at Statistics Canada, with a background as an economist and statistician. Previously, Mr. Bowly ran the data collection operations for Statistics Canada and was the manager of the monthly Labour Force Survey, the source of the official unemployment rate, and one of the world's largest ongoing household surveys. Mr. Bowlby is passionate about working with information and data to develop stories on the state of the nation. He has appeared before House of Commons and Senate Committees and has chaired a United Nations task force. Ìý |
