End of winter semester message from Dean Maioni

Published: 21 April 2020

Dear members of the Faculty of Arts,

As we end the Winter 2020 semester, a semester like no other at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, I’d like to wish you all the best for the exam period and the summer beyond. You have all demonstrated such goodwill and adaptability, and each one of you has been essential to keeping our big ship afloat and realizing the Faculty’s academic mission in this uncertain situation.

While we expect more uncertainty for some time in the future, I want to assure you that the Faculty and University remain committed to managing a successful exam period, to ensuring a smooth graduation process, and to delivering the summer and fall sessions. Whatever the delivery platform, McGill will remain open for business!

I have updated our news for students, instructors and staff in the sections below. Please remember that the University and the Faculty have put together numerous support and resources; please consult the Faculty of Arts website for updates: .

Finally, a reminder to take good care of yourselves and keep your spirits up. Spring is taking its time to arrive in Montreal, but wherever you are, I hope you are able to get outside for fresh air and exercise when you can. And remember to keep in touch with family, friends, and fellow students.

Bon courage à tous et à bientôt,

Antonia Maioni

Dean of Arts
